Our Origin Story
Jordan Holm

It was an honor and a hard-earned privilege to represent the United States in competitions around the world. It was also a season that I knew would pass. Near the end of my career it was difficult not to dream of what mountain I’d climb next.
I determined that I wanted to keep working alongside people who President Teddy Roosevelt might describe as “[fit] for doing the rough work of a workaday world."

If you’re familiar with his speech from 1910, the Man in the Arena, you may know that it’s longer than the portion that many have framed and memorized.
"It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat." - Theodore Roosevelt
The very next sentence is, "Shame on the man of cultivated taste who permits refinement to develop into fastidiousness that unfits him for doing the rough work of a workaday world." This lesser-known sentence resonates with me.
As the son of a tradesmen, who learned to drywall alongside my dad, and as a wrestler, who devoted years of my life to becoming the best in the world - not for fame or fortune, but for love of the challenge and a deeply held belief that we are to maximize the talents we have - I’ve surrounded myself with people who are willing to put in the work, whatever it may be, for most of my life. I’ve always respected participation in activities where effort could be measured in drops of sweat, like wrestling and the trades. People who are “[fit] for doing the rough work of a workaday world.”
This motivates me to do well by them.
A Win-Win!
For the last four years of my competitive career I served as Managing Director of MN’s Regional Olympic Training Center, during which time we won four consecutive team national championships and put many athletes on US National and World Teams. It was a thrill to assemble these teams and to contribute to the success of the program.
Upon retiring from the sport, after suffering my first loss in the US in four years - a story for another time - I was recruited to help a large moving company improve their culture. A tall task that prompted me to deep-dive into the industry. I chose to begin as a mover, operating as an undercover boss, until I was proficient in the role.
I developed systems and KPIs for each department that contributed to us winning national awards and setting company records.
I was no longer pursuing an Olympic gold medal, but I was still analyzing every aspect of performance for opportunities to improve to the highest level. I understood that boosting morale was about more than fostering a positive atmosphere — it was about equipping people with the tools and systems they need to perform at their best.
MYLO was born out of a drive to resolve the inefficiencies and problems that remained after antiquated, low-tech systems hit their ceiling en route to providing unmatched convenience, affordability, and service.
As I distilled down the traditional problems, opportunities emerged for innovation that would benefit both customers and the hard-working members of our industry. A win-win! And a strong foundation for us to deliver on your behalf! [1]
It was time to assemble another world-class team!
Co-Founder and Team
My co-founder, Matt, and I met in the early days of MYLO; we aligned on values, how we see people, and our vision for the company.
Matt is a natural leader with an MBA from USC and a career that includes impactful roles at global brands like General Mills on the Cheerios marketing team and Polaris. Before joining MYLO, he spearheaded investments and acquisitions in cutting-edge Cell & Gene therapies for Donaldson Company, where he also launched their Connected Services business. He is like a Swiss Army knife of business expertise, having worked across the entire spectrum of functional roles at top performing companies.

We’re proud to have an exceptionally talented engineering team. Here’s a spotlight on a select few:
Adrian, a computer science graduate from the University of Minnesota and a competitive amateur golfer, who brings both a methodical approach and strategic insights to MYLO's complex backend system design.
Clay, a college soccer phenom, with artistic talent and passion for front-end design, ensures MYLO’s interfaces are not only visually stunning but also intuitive and user-friendly, elevating the customer experience.
We are proud of the team we’ve assembled; the efficiencies and synchronized solutions that we’ve built into MYLO, and the work we’ve accomplished together!
